U11 and U9 teams victorious in Split!
U11 and U9 teams victorious in Split!
From the 21 to the 23rd of April SPlit hosted a strong international tournament for young divisions. The field comprised of clubs from Croatia, Austria, BiH and Slovenia, and the Dinamo took the first place in both categories combining for a total score of 11 wins and one draw.
Coach Zoran Marcetic's U11 team was comprised of: Ševerdija, Vukasović N., Janković, Krizmanić, Braun, Marin, Batistić, Stojanović, J. Palić, Perić, Mijatović, Vukasović D., Gorjanec, Julardžija, Prpić. The young boys in blue edged out Rijeka in a thrilling semifinal match, and then took the gold by beating Split 2:0 in the final. Dinamo's Antonio Marin deservedly took the best player of the tournament honors.
The u9 Team, coached by the omnipresent Mirloslav Davidovic, was even more convincing. In a field of 16 teams ( the u11 tournament was comprised of 32 teams) Dinamo romped to the title in a stunning display of dominance, scoring 36 goals and allowing none! Semi final sa Dinamo beat Solin by 2:0, while the final was played against the host team of Adriatic, in which Dinamo took a comfortable 5:0 victory. The team that achieved this admirable success consited of: Zadro, D. Jerbić, Novak-Stanko, Duvnjak, Barišić, Kačavenda, Musulin, Brekalo, Ramić, Ivančin, Evačić. Dinamo's Lukas Kačavenda took the best player of the tournament honors.
